External packaging box manufacturing method

What is an extra box?

Adding a box or using a double box is an effective way to protect a fragile device (such as an electronic product) from damage. Although it is possible to use one box or original manufacturer's packaging in some cases, it is not appropriate to use this method of transportation in many cases. Many containers are not designed to withstand the transport process itself because the latter involves classified collisions, road vibrations, and other types of packaging processes. Original equipment manufacturers' packaging is usually designed to transport products once, not multiple times. In spite of this, it is often designed as a container shipment instead of a single shipment.

How to add a box

Before adding the carton, make sure that the inner carton is in good condition and that the inner foam does not burst or burst. If the foam has been damaged, replace it with a new foam insert or use a two-inch (5.08 cm) wide pressure sensitive tape for repair.

Choose a new shipping container that is longer, wider, and taller than the inner box by at least six inches (15.24 cm).

Fill the new shipping container with at least three inches (7.62 cm) of field foam, foamed corner or edge liner material, inflatable packaging, loose filler particles, or other suitable liner material. Do not use wrinkled or shredded paper.

Place the inner carton on the top of the cushioning material and in the center of the shipping carton while leaving at least three inches (7.62 cm) of cushioning material around the remaining five faces of the package. Foam, foam edges or edge gasket materials, inflatable packaging, loose filler particles, or other suitable cushioning materials.

Use a pressure-sensitive or nylon-reinforced tape two inches (5.08 cm) or wider, or a 60-pound, three-inch (7.62 cm) wide, water-reactive tape to seal the shipping container. Attach three tapes to the top and bottom of the box and firmly close the box so that the middle seam and the two edge seams are sealed.
