Adhesive bonding (adhesion, bonding, cementation, adhesive bonding) refers to the technique of bonding together the surface of a homogenous or heterogeneous object with an adhesive, which has the characteristics of continuous stress distribution, light weight, or sealing, and low process temperature. Adhesive bonding is particularly suitable for connection of different materials, different thicknesses, ultra-thin gauges, and complex components. Therefore, it is very important to research, develop and produce all kinds of adhesives.

There are many ways to classify adhesives. According to the application methods, they can be divided into thermosetting, hot-melting, room-temperature curing, pressure-sensitive, etc.; they can be divided into structural, non-configured, or specialty adhesives depending on the application; Type, emulsion type, solvent type, and various solid-state types. Synthetic chemists often like to classify adhesives by the chemical composition of the adhesive.

First, inorganic adhesive

(2) Thermosetting: Epoxy resin, phenolic resin, urea resin, cyanuric-formaldehyde resin, silicone resin, furan resin, unsaturated polyester, acrylic resin, polyimide, polybenzimidazole, phenolic-poly Vinyl acetals, phenolic-polyamides, phenolic-epoxy resins, epoxy-polyamides, etc.

2, synthetic rubber type: neoprene, styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, Buna rubber, isoprene rubber, polysulfide rubber, polyurethane rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene elastomer, silicone rubber and other categories;

3, rubber resin type: phenolic - nitrile rubber, phenolic - neoprene, phenolic - polyurethane rubber, epoxy - nitrile rubber, epoxy - polysulfide rubber and other categories.
