At about 8:30 pm on the 5th, a wood furniture factory in Fule Street, Yantai City, burst into a fire, and the fire quickly engulfed seven houses filled with furniture and wood. Firefighters stayed up all night and fired for nearly 12 hours.

Reporter survey

On the 6th, when the reporter rushed to the scene of the fire at Fule Street, two employees of the wood furniture factory were cleaning up the house after the fire. There were only window frames left in the windows of the seven rooms in the west. The roof had collapsed. The house was filled with charcoal-burning wood. The ground was full of rubble and the scene was a mess.

A variety of burnt black woods lie in the yard. The roof of a room in the northeast collapsed halfway, the glass on the window was broken, and the tables, chairs, benches and other items inside were smoked and could not be seen in the original way. The ground was full of water. The five rooms on the east side near the roadside were burned to leave only the frame.

For the fire situation and the loss, the two employees of the wood furniture factory are not willing to say more, just watching the factory after the fire sigh and shake their heads. "All the things are here anyway, all burned out." The young man who packed things in the East House looked sad. "The things in the factory are not insured. The cause of the fire is not clear. I can only wait for the fire investigation results." ."

Mr. Guo, who lives near the wood furniture factory, told reporters that at about 8:30 that evening, he was watching TV in the house and suddenly saw the glass window being red. Mr. Guo stood up and saw that the wood furniture factory was on fire.

Mr. Guo said that after the alarm, the firefighters quickly arrived at the scene, but the fired wood furniture factory was full of flammable items, and the wind was very large, and the fire quickly swallowed the factory. After the fire was extinguished, it was blown by the wind, and those places that had already disappeared quickly burned. From about 8:30 on the 5th to 8:00 on the 6th, almost 12 hours before and after, the firefighters have been staying at the scene until they are sure that the fire will not re-ignite before driving.
