1. Common faults and troubleshooting

(1) The cutter of the imagesetter does not reset

Symptom: When the "CUT" button of the imagesetter is pressed, "CUTTER NOT PARKED" is displayed on the instruction window of the operation panel, indicating that the cutter is not in the original position and the imagesetter cannot work normally.

Remedy: Open the film cover on the imagesetter and gently pull out the film, or take out the film stuck near the cutter. Then perform the following steps through the control panel and the built-in control program of the imagesetter: select "MENUOPTIONS DIAGNOSTICS" and press "NEXT"; select "DIAGNOSTICS UNWIND FILM" and press "SELECT"; select "SPINNER TEST" and press "SELECT" ; Press "NEXT" after "PARK CUTTER" appears, the cutter is reset, and the imagesetter returns to normal.

(2) The imagesetter does not take pictures

Symptoms: There is no film in the receiving box when the filming is completed.

Reasons for failure: â‘  The film in the film supply box is not installed properly, and the film cannot get out of the box. The film must be reinstalled. â‘¡The master and driven wheels at both ends of the film feed roller are locked, or the wheels are held by loose screws next to them so that they cannot rotate. In this case, clean the wheel bearings or tighten the screws next to them. â‘¢Although the film is moving forward, it is squeezed under the film feeding roller, but does not enter the film receiving box. At this time, the machine must be opened to remove the film. â‘£ The film is wet and sticks to the film exit channel, and it cannot go forward. At this time, the film must be taken out.

(3) The text is shortened in the direction of the film or the four-color film is not aligned correctly

Fault phenomenon: After the machine has been used for a period of time, four-color film misalignment occurs. In severe cases, the layout on the film is significantly shorter than the paper layout produced by the laser printer, and the text on the film is squashed.

The cause of the fault: the film is not aligned correctly or the text is flattened, which is generally related to the uneven transmission speed of the film. In addition, dust and fine particles falling off the film of the film stick to the rubber roller for a long time, causing the rubber roller to slip, preventing the film from being driven at a uniform speed, and also causing the text to be flattened. The rubber roller must be wiped clean with a special cleaning agent for the rubber roller .

2. Routine maintenance of imagesetter

(1) The phototypesetting machine should be placed in a stable, dry and ventilated place to avoid large vibrations, and the interference of strong electric fields and strong magnetic fields is not allowed around the machine. In addition, the ambient temperature is also very important. In summer, the room temperature should not exceed 22 ° C, otherwise it is not conducive to the heat dissipation of the electrical components of the imagesetter, and the longevity of the electrical components will be affected after long-term continuous work.

(2) Correctly adjust the exposure intensity value. Be careful not to set it too high, otherwise it will not only affect the output quality, but also shorten the life of the imagesetter.

(3) Make full use of the self-checking function of the imagesetter. The self-checking function of the imagesetter is an important reference basis for analyzing the cause of the failure. If the self-checking of the phototypesetting machine fails, the failure is in the phototypesetting machine itself; if the self-checking is normal, it means that the failure may occur in the host.
