The full name of the PSO is Process Standard Offset, which is a certification program developed by Germany´s Printing and Regional Printing and Media Industries Federation (bvdm) and certified by Fogra in Germany and Ugra in Switzerland. PSO is similar to PSA in that it reviews the entire process from pre-press to printing, but the biggest difference is that PSO uses ISO 12647 as the standard. The assessment contents of Fogra PSO and Ugra PSO are almost the same. The difference is that Ugra PSO needs to review the company structure and documents, that is, it needs to comply with ISO 9000.

Currently, 380 companies worldwide have obtained FograPSO qualifications and 94 Ugra PSO qualifications. The PSO is valid for two years, but a mid-term review is required.
To obtain Fogra PSO, companies can choose Prepress, Press, or both Prepress and Press. Training and certification are conducted by certified Fogra PSOPartner. The printed sheets are checked and measured by Fogra and vdm together. After issuing the certificate, the company will be awarded "Certified Printing Company According to ISO 12647-PSO". APTEC representatives have also obtained Fogra PSO Partner qualifications and can conduct training and audits for companies.
As for Ugra PSO, the training is conducted by Ugra PSO experts, and the certification must be audited by Ugra personnel. The printed sheets are also measured by Ugra. If qualified, Ugra will issue Ugra PSO certification enterprise certificate.
