Types of lithographic inks

A. Types of lithographic inks:
1 gold end:
It is first printed on the paper, and then the metal powder is sprinkled on it so that it adheres to the gold base. The spreader can generally be connected to the end of the printer. Gold soles are generally made of thicker linseed oil or synthetic conjugates added with transparent pigments. A little grayish yellow or green pigments are often mixed in to increase the visibility of gold soles.

2 bright ink:
The binder is composed of rosin resin and is generally not easily penetrated into the paper. The pigment is also specially selected to ensure that it is fully fused with the binder and can float freely in the ink layer.

3 hot dry ink:
The binder is made of a high-consistency integrated solution dissolved in hydrocarbons. The boiling point of this solvent is between 560.
This ink has a low evaporation rate at normal temperatures, but after heating, it increases with temperature. It is usually suitable for roller printing on printing machines with dryers.

4 printing iron ink:
The binder is made of dry oil, modified resin, a little red oil or evaporated solvent. The pigment is specially selected and does not change color after drying. Features heat, drying does not change color. After printing, the iron pieces pass through a high-temperature blast furnace. The general temperature is between 230 degrees and 350 degrees. The adjustment of the temperature depends on the quality of the work and the application of the machine. The baking time is between 5-20 minutes. Short baking time, the temperature will increase, the general color material can not withstand such a high temperature, iron plate printing to high temperatures, so the color used for printing is limited.

5 metallic ink:
It is made of fine metal (aluminum and copper powder) mixed with a binder. The brightness of metal ink is determined by the quality of the metal powder and the number of layers floating in the ink. Aluminum powder silver ink, copper powder gold ink.

6 Newsprint ink:
Diluted ink, fast flow, generally composed of mineral oil and carbon black. The ink is dried by the paper and is generally used for high speed printing presses.

7 fast dry ink:
The binder is composed of a special turpentine and oil mixture. After the ink is printed on the printing paper, the turpentine and the oil are immediately separated, the turpentine becomes a hard ink layer on the paper surface, and the oil penetrates into the paper layer.
