Kris Turnbull Shares His Thougths On Covet Group's New Showroom

“I was thrilled to see the growth and progress of the brand. Five years ago, when I was last here, I was with the factories, and this showroom didn’t even exist. So having this new headquarters is fantastic for your team to work in, but it’s also a much richer experience for designers who want to use your products and truly understand the materials, finishes, and processes involved. For me, it’s not just about appreciating the final product but also understanding the journey your artisans have taken with it, and educating my team on the production side of things.” – Kris Turnbull

“We’re actually going to visit the upholstery production next, because that’s another incredible skill. To see the woodwork and veneering on the Luray Side Table or the liquid metal on the Cay Console—it’s something amazing to be part of and understand that process. It helps you communicate better with clients and educate them on the perceived value of the product, not just how it looks. That part has been incredibly helpful for us.” – Kris Turnbull

“Design awareness in Ireland has grown significantly, allowing us to introduce bolder pieces. For example, Boca do Lobo designs that might have seemed a bit daring five years ago are now seen as curious and fascinating. The mix of classic and contemporary styles is perfectly current. From a brand perspective, it’s exciting that people aren’t afraid of prints or color anymore. A few years ago, everything was very neutral, but now it’s becoming less gray and more diverse, which strengthens the relationship with using your products.” – Kris Turnbull

Many of my friends have explored the Douro Valley or the old parts of Portugal like Porto. And I love Ribeira, where you can enjoy cocktails, music, and festivities. Definitely, it’s a place worth visiting.” – Kris Turnbull
