We had the pleasure of speaking with Andrea Sensoli, a visionary in the world of architecture and design. As the founder of SUPERFUTUREDESIGN*, a sister company to ASZarchitetti, he has built a reputation for delivering luxurious architectural designs that are both innovative and deeply rooted in functionality. His firm works with clients across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and is known for its excellence in 3D visualization and modern architectural solutions. Andrea's journey began with humble beginnings, but through perseverance and a strong vision, he has created a brand that stands out globally. He believes that architecture is a reflection of life, culture, and human behavior. For him, the most rewarding part of his work is when it resonates beyond the client, capturing the attention of the broader public. “Design isn't just about aesthetics; it's about creating something that connects people with their environment,†he shared. “It's about making spaces that feel real, meaningful, and alive.â€
Andrea's biggest challenge was starting from scratch. “I had nothing, no support, no resources. But I learned to compromise, prioritize, and move forward step by step,†he recalled. Despite his success, he remains driven by a desire to grow and push boundaries. “I'm grateful for where I am, but I want more. I want to build something bigger than myself.†He emphasized the importance of legacy, aiming to create a lasting impact through his designs. “Our goal is to leave a footprint that bridges the past and the future—something that speaks to the times we live in.â€
“If I consider that the creation of SUPERFUTUREDESIGN* is the most critical milestone, then we have only just started. I want to consolidate the office and become an entity beyond my presence; I want to express more of our vision through designs and propel this into the future.†– Andrea Sensoli
What truly fulfills Andrea is recognition—not just from clients, but from the public. “When our work is seen and appreciated beyond the project itself, that’s when I feel like we’ve made a real impact,†he said. Inspiring others to think differently is one of his main goals. “Every project is an opportunity to challenge assumptions and push boundaries.†He also values collaboration and sees every project as a chance to bring people together. “It’s not just about me—it’s about the whole team, the clients, and the people who will eventually use the space.â€
PROJECTS
Andrea believes in clear, meaningful communication. “Whether it’s a pitch or a story on Instagram, we aim to convey beauty and purpose at every step.†He is currently working on a wide range of projects, from residential to commercial and hospitality. His inspiration comes from life, and he thrives on the challenge of interpreting socio-cultural changes into his designs. “There’s a feeling that if we want everything to stay the same, everything must change,†he said. “That excitement drives me.â€
“Minimalism is still very much en vogue, even though it is often enriched with elements of elegance and some decorations. At the same time, there is still space for various decorative styles and even for eclecticism up to kitsch. I prefer minimalism when it is a genuine expression of a quest for authenticity and personality, which goes to the very basic principles of why a particular development is in place.†– Andrea Sensoli
Andrea’s clients are usually entrepreneurs, private companies, and individuals with a clear vision. They value meaningful beauty and are open to new ideas. This is why the firm has such a diverse portfolio, ranging from products and homes to offices, stores, and resorts.
For one of his recent projects, the location was the sole source of inspiration. The goal was to create a house that blends seamlessly with its surroundings while offering modern living. Andrea focused on the windows, which play a key role in connecting the interior with nature. They were designed to be unobtrusive yet functional, enhancing the relationship between the inhabitants and their environment.
Looking ahead, Andrea hopes to collaborate with the owner of Villa Asciano, a renowned photographer whose work he admires. “I’d love to envision a personal exhibition where we can create a complete visitor experience,†he said.
TO FINALISE
In Andrea’s view, technology is the driving force behind craftsmanship. While specialized firms handle the technical side, it’s the designer’s job to find creative ways to implement these tools. Sustainability, he believes, is essential for the future of design. “We must take carbon reduction seriously. It requires a revolution in how we think and act. Design plays a crucial role in shaping a better future.â€
