Raumkonzepte Peter Buchberger is a renowned interior design studio based in Munich, Germany. In this project, the artwork becomes part of the living environment rather than just a focal point. The emphasis is on the overall harmony of the space—combining wall design, textiles, furniture, flooring, and ceiling to create a cohesive and immersive atmosphere. It's a true total work of art that balances grandeur with practicality, making it ideal for daily use.
Architektenvilla
This puristic villa features three floors and a minimalist aesthetic, with an abundance of concrete and glass walls. While maintaining its original character, the interior has been softened through the addition of textiles, lighting, and modern wall designs, giving the space a more sensual and inviting feel.
Liebligstrasse
This two-story apartment was designed as a stage for rare mid-century pieces. Since it was a rental property, the team focused on color and texture rather than structural changes. The soft silhouettes of the furniture create a sense of comfort and warmth, subtly enhancing the living experience.
Country House
Originally a flat-roof bungalow from 1967, this house has undergone multiple renovations and expansions over the years. Until two years ago, it featured an evolving mix of materials and flooring, all influenced by the previous owner’s classic and feminine style.
Stadtappartment München
Art plays a central role in the design of this apartment. The colorful ceiling surfaces were inspired by the painter Piet Mondrian, while a mobile by Joan Miró influenced the carpet in the living area. The fabric used comes from Peter Buchberger’s first carpet collection, and artists like Wassily Kandinsky, Mark Rothko, and Donald Judd also served as sources of inspiration.
