The rapid development of China's real estate and home improvement sectors has significantly boosted the growth of the kitchen and bathroom industry. The introduction of the "whole kitchen" and "overall bathroom" concepts has transformed kitchen and bathroom products into highly sought-after items. According to a survey conducted by the Market Economy Research Institute under the State Council's Development Research Center, the ownership rate of complete kitchen and bathroom systems among urban residents in China is still relatively low, indicating substantial market potential. This suggests that the overall kitchen and bathroom market is still in its early stages of development and requires more attention and support from the national level.
To align with the implementation of industry standards for the kitchen and health sector, as outlined by the State Council’s Development Research Center, efforts are being made to enhance international collaboration within the kitchen and bathroom industry, promoting its healthy and sustainable growth. With approval from the Ministry of Construction, the first China Kitchen Enterprise Development High-Level Forum and the International Trends Conference on Kitchen and Bathroom Development will be held at the China Science and Technology Hall in Beijing from July 31 to August 2, 2004. Organized jointly by the Ministry of Construction's Policy Research Center and the Institute of Technology and Research, this event aims to foster dialogue and knowledge exchange among key stakeholders.
The forum will focus on industry standardization, global brand development, and product innovation. It will bring together officials from the Ministry of Construction, industry experts, real estate developers, construction companies, and leading enterprises in the kitchen and bathroom sector. Discussions will cover market trends, brand building strategies, and future directions for the industry. Additionally, the event will feature exhibitions showcasing European and American design trends, as well as the latest innovations in domestic kitchen and bathroom products. Renowned companies from both within and outside China will present new technologies, materials, and equipment, highlighting the evolving aesthetics and functionality of modern kitchen and bathroom solutions.
Participants will gain access to timely policy updates, insights into industry development, and opportunities to network with government officials, real estate professionals, and top manufacturers. This platform is essential for boosting product sales and brand visibility, playing a crucial role in advancing the kitchen and bathroom industry. The forum will also include government roundtables, enterprise forums, and trend presentations, ensuring that content is practical, engaging, and tailored to the needs of participating businesses.
With strong support from the Ministry of Construction and careful planning by professional organizations, this event is expected to be authoritative and high-level, making a significant impact on the kitchen and bathroom industry and the broader home improvement market.
Additionally, during the Chongqing Home Culture Festival, a remarkable display of luxury lighting was presented. A super-sized gold ingot, actually a massive decorative lamp, was unveiled at the festival. Crafted from pure copper and gilded with over 3,000 pieces of expensive Indian crystal, the lamp stands 1.8 meters tall and is valued at more than 100,000 yuan. It is currently the largest gold ingot-style lighting fixture in China, drawing widespread attention and admiration.
