National University of Defense Technology developed a fully biodegradable polymer composite

The National University of Defense Technology held a scientific and technological achievements conference in Changsha a few days ago. This is the first time that the university has released research results for the society. At the same time, scientific and technological achievements exhibitions were held, and the "completely biodegradable polymer composites" exhibited were favored.
This technology is a national invention patent and uses polycaprolactone with good biodegradability as the basic raw material. After chemical modification, it improves the temperature resistance of polycaprolactone (temperature resistance is increased from 70°C to above 100°C). , Improved the mechanical properties and molding processing properties of polycaprolactone, and has excellent compatibility with other materials, can be used together with a variety of natural polymer materials, so as to prepare polymers with complete biodegradability material. By using a natural fiber-reinforced method, composite materials and products with complete biodegradability can be prepared by enhancing polymers such as modified polycaprolactones, which have a complete degradation performance. The biodegradable plastics are mainly used for inability or reusability. Recycling cycle production and living areas, such as food packaging and containers (disposable tableware, packaging films, bags, etc.), industrial packaging materials (such as electronic product packaging), sanitary products (paper diapers, etc.) and daily necessities, grocery ( Such as garbage bags, credit cards), can also be used for agricultural and aquaculture materials (flood film, fishing nets, etc.), civil construction materials and other environmentally friendly composite materials and products, but also for medical devices and other fields. The project is in line with the national industrial policy and has a large market and promising prospects. (Gaohan)
