Plastic packaging health crisis is about to erupt

"Be careful, oil, oil!" Don't misunderstand this. This is not the slogan that the government has called for, nor is it the gossip of rising oil prices. Only one person who had just finished eating from the restaurant reminded another companion who carried the lunch box. Looking through the sound, the reporter found that the plastic bag under the lunch box had changed color. The red oil had already leaked out of the box, and the plastic bag was dyed yellow from white.
The oil leakage in the lunch box was extremely disgusting. The boy wearing light-colored pants carrying the lunch box was really worried that he was accidentally “oil-fitted”. Fortunately, the companion reminded him in time. The danger was relieved. But is this crisis really lifted? Will there be a potential crisis? The reporter personally visited the one-time catering market in case of an alarm booth. The stall owner lied about the last box of cheap lunch boxes. According to Dong Jinshi, the special expert of the National Environmental Protection Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and the Secretary-General of the Beijing Environmental Protection Tableware Consortium, “The crisis has only just begun.”
At the beginning of September, due to too many complaints about the quality of plastic lunch boxes, the relevant departments have started sampling surveys and scientific research on the inferior meal boxes market. With the help of Dong Jinshi, the reporter and the staff of the Beijing Hyfa Environmental Protection Technical Consultation Center took samples of the edible plastic packaging boxes sold by a farmer's market in Beijing on the afternoon of September 10. In the condiment hall of the Great Ocean Road Market, the sampling group found a lunch box labeled HL-102. Learned from the stall owners, this is the cheapest kind of lunch box, a single price of 8 points or so. The sampling group bought a total of 95 yuan at a price of 9 yuan. Sampling and taking pictures were very smooth. However, when the staff asked for receipts or invoices, the stall owners seemed to be alert. He first went to the staff in the lunch box, took back the lunch box and said: "This has been Someone wanted it. I didn't sell it.” The reporter was not good at it and took the lunch box back to his own hands. However, he did not expect that the stall owner immediately rushed back the lunch box and then bought the money from the lunch box. It was given to staff. After several twists and turns, finally got a sample. However, the stall owners are still very worried about this and kept saying, “This is the last box, and the last box has already been sold.” After that, the sampling team came to the Sun Kitchen Hall and found it effortlessly. Two samples. As one of the models "PP-1" "degradation" lunch boxes are not for sale. In desperation, the sampling group only took one, 8 yuan and 90 lunch boxes labeled "Vuitton eighteen". During the sampling process, the reporter found that some stall owners did not covertly sell cheap food boxes. They were all placed on a wide-spread bed to sell. After the samples were taken, the sampling group went to the “National Plastic Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center” and conducted two tests on n-hexane and acetic acid for the two samples collected. On September 14, the test results showed that both hexane and acetic acid were exceeded. This result can be explained by the fact that those boxes from the cheap market failed.
Spot check results show that there are hidden dangers in various hot pot seasoning packages. In the words of Dong Jinshi, “The unqualified product is an expected thing. It is to see the extent of its exceeding the standard. The cost of a qualified lunch box produced by a regular manufacturer must be at least about 2 cents. It is difficult to guarantee quality below this price. The tested product can be said to be the cheapest in the market, and it is a strange thing if it is qualified to pass inspection.” After understanding, this kind of cheap lunch box has a very large amount in the market, and is used by some small restaurants, Mala Tang, Liangpi, Liangmian Tan. The lunch box is either a foam lunch box or a soft plastic lunch box. The HL-102 counterfeit meal boxes have been found on the foreign leased Liangpi and cold noodles stalls of Huatang Supermarket. What is most worrying now is that even after consumers have packed up for meals, almost no one notices the origin of the lunch boxes. Similarly in supermarket shopping, although careful consumers will pay attention to relevant information such as product manufacturers and production dates, they will not really understand whether food packaging itself has potential safety hazards. The current status quo is that people's shopping philosophy often only believes in supermarkets rather than farmers' markets. But for product packaging, there is no problem in supermarkets? Food packaging is almost completely ignored by consumers.

Dong Jinshi told reporters that they had conducted spot checks on some of the supermarket food packaging from June to August this year. According to the survey results, supermarkets such as Carrefour Zhongguancun Store and Wal-Mart Dazhongsi Store found spot checks on the “Fuhua” brand beef cattle hot pot seasoning box, Ah Xiang Po hot pot seasoning and Kawasaki brand hot pot seasoning box and white jade tofu. Long-term brand duck blood bean curd Fengxiang packaging boxes are varying degrees of soft texture, impurities, excessive calcium carbonate added, bright colors and other issues.

Inferior food packaging can cause cancer and become a “toxin factory” when it becomes hot. Through years of research, Dong Jinshi has learned about the safety issues behind plastic packaging. He said: "In order to reduce costs, some businesses not only add industrial paraffin, talc, calcium carbonate and other harmful substances, but also use industrial-grade raw materials instead of food-grade raw materials, and some even use waste plastics, and the source of these waste plastics is more complicated Some of them even come from medical waste or pesticide bottles. There are also some businesses that add some dark coloring agents to conceal impurities in raw materials. This undoubtedly causes hidden dangers for people's health."

In Dong Jinshi's view, if a poor-quality lunch box is filled with steamy meals, it is a miniature "toxin manufacturing field." After some inferior packaging boxes are met with acid and water, the lead, cadmium, and other heavy metals in the packaging box are easily dissolved. And these harmful substances are also easily dissolved in food. If you ingest it for a long time, it will not only lead to indigestion, but it will also lead to gallstones and liver diseases. The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons contained in industrial paraffins used for food packaging may even cause cancer. Test results: harmful substances exceeded 20 times. On September 14, the test results showed that the content of n-hexane in the snack box labeled “LH-102” was 8670 mg/L, the content of acetic acid was 710 mg/L, and n-hexane labeled “Vidden Eighteen” snack box. The content is 5680 mg/L and the acetic acid content is 1770 mg/L. National Department of Plastic Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Department of the Ministry of Agriculture Yang Lin told reporters that the normal standard should be equal to or less than 30mg/L, and the test results of these two samples and some indicators have exceeded more than 20 times, and some even One hundred times, is a serious violation, as substandard products.
