Agfa Copydot Dot Copy Software

---- Convert film to digital file is more conducive to a comprehensive digital workflow
Agfa announced an expansion of its product line and was the first in the United States to introduce AgfaDot dot copy software that can convert stored old film or customer-originated films into digital files after scanning. This software can be used with AgfaScan T5000 Plus or AgfaScan XY-15 scanners without the need for an independent copydot scanner. AgfaDot dot copy software can display the scanning effect on the screen, including dots and pixels, allowing users to thoroughly preview every detail on the scan. With the multi-point adjustment processing system, it can accurately scan and copy all the outlets on the original film. AgfaDot also has a tool for setting alignment. When there is a need to make changes, the operator can adjust itself to ensure that the image is correctly entered into the digital workflow.
Mr. Zhan Yong, product manager of Agfa said: “AgfaDot dot copy software provides printers with a cost-effective solution to adapt to different printing applications, so that printers can better meet the requirements of customers.” AgfaDot is used to provide printers with A larger range of applications. It is designed for printers who need occasional scanning of old film or customer film. The frequency of use is about five to twenty times a month. Applicable printers include:
At the same time, digital printers who receive electronic manuscripts and advertising films need to deal with electronic data and film's general commercial printers need to process detailed images. Digital printers who need to re-copy existing printed products for short-run printing The printers of the old film (such as old advertisements) entered the AgfaDot software to require a user-defined positioning register for scanning to ensure that the film is accurately positioned. If you need to change the alignment, you can use AgfaDot's automatic alignment function without rescanning.
AgfaDot requires high-resolution gray-scale TIFFs as input, then applies multi-point adjustment processing, and a set of DCS files will be made at the same time. The AgfaDot allows the operator to do a low resolution color/grayscale display while retaining the original image in the drive.
The AgfaDot has a zoom function that allows the operator to see the crosshairs, cutting lines, or target image, and then automatically aligns and cuts. The operator can also enlarge the focus, watch the shape of the dots, or monitor the dot density of any area on the image. After the multi-point adjustment processing system defines the required alignment, rotation, and â–¡ or XY and cutting positions, a multi-point adjustment processing system is applied. This unique feature of AgfaDot helps compensate for the lack of highlights or dark spots, as well as the dot gain during printing. The unit bit image can output the resolution display correctly, and can enlarge the shape of the dot, and monitor the dot density of any area on the image. Individual CMYK images can be opened on the screen at the same time, allowing the operator to view the positioning. It is not necessary to rescan the image when changing the adjustment parameters.

The output of the scanned image is strictly manipulated to ensure that the user can obtain the desired output resolution. The AgfaDot software itself has a variety of output formats to choose from to suit different prepress applications and systems.
The operator can select the black and white output file of TIFF or EPSF format, or the CMYK output file of DCS1/DCS2 format, with or without compression. AgfaDot is also equipped with automatic calculation and triple image compression in line with industrial specifications to minimize file size and speed up network transmission.

AgfaDot dot copy software can be executed on Windows 95 or NT4 and Mac OS 7 or later.
